You will discover the rugged peaks that resemble the Alps, as their names suggest. These include the massive nape-carved cupolas - Prutas (Plaid) and Sareni Pasovi (Colourful belts); the saddle-shaped Sedlena Greda (Saddle frame); and the Sljeme (Roof ridge).
A Jeep Safari in the Durmitor Mountains is a leisurely way of exploring the magnificent scenery that this region offers. Only the best-maintained jeeps and skilled mountain road drivers are used for this safari. Having driven over this terrain for a number of years, they know all the camping spots and the best locations.
This circle jeep trip around the Durmitor Massif starts from Kolasin. Van transportation is provided for the participants. After reaching Zabljak (after about 2.5 hours of driving), you will be put in jeeps to start your adventure. The road winds through an absolutely stunning landscape, passing the western edge of the Durmitor Massif and encompassing the Tara and Susica River canyons, as well as the upper Komarnica Valley. On your way, you will enjoy a view of 5 out of the 18 glacial lakes at heights of over 1,500 m, which add great charm to the Durmitor Massif. Lunch will be served in a restaurant in Trsa Village or in a restaurant on Black Lake.
